Shawnorrhea trained at Ryerson University where he earned his BFA degree in Dance. His background is an eclectic blend of modern dance to musical theatre, cabaret to burlesque, acting to dance, and stage to film. He's toured across Canada and Europe, and extensively throughout Ontario. He first joined the Scandelles as a guest performer for 2005's Les Demimondes (after a drunken phone call from Kitty Neptune and Sasha Van Bon Bon) and was then asked to become part of the creative team for Under the Mink. Since then he's been actively involved in creating works for the Scandelles, which provides him with the amazing opportunity to create his own ideas and showcase his work. Outside of the Scandelles, he continues to pursue a career in contemporary dance, having performed for some of Canada's premier choreographers such as Michael Trent, Heidi Strauss, Sasha Ivanochko, and Darryl Tracy. He was also a part of Matjash Mrozewski's Dora nominated Break Open Play. He is also Artistic Director of T'art Dances, a non-profit company dedicated to merging pop culture and modern dance. In November of 2006, T'art will travel to Shanghai, China to present their first production, Through My Eyes and have been hand-picked as the Conference Special.
